“Tch,” the sound cut through silence as yet another shadow was dissipated, the creature of darkness dissolving and allowing a small heart to rise into the sky. “You guys are such small fry now. I guess I’m too high ranked for you.” Feral put her right hand on her hip, the claws of her tekagi-shuko stretching out past her fingers, glinting devilishly in the dim light. “Dream RE is getting too easy; I wonder when they’ll have a boss fight event.” The girl tossed her long white hair over her shoulder, the realism of the game was pretty fantastic, she could feel the long locks falling down her back and shoulders, the weight of it even felt realistic.
Hotaru, the player behind Feral, could recognize the feel from when she used to have long luxurious locks. Those were gone now, but no one within the game would know that. They’d just see a shock of white hair, fair skin, and golden eyes glaring at them in disdain. “Maybe the Gizmo Shop.” Feral started on her way past the hotel of the 2nd District.

That snowy hair caught the male's auburn eyes when he had logged into the game. He stood back to watch her battle, careful to keep himself from harm's way and away from the fight itself. After all, the boy was a spectator to this ghostly creature who seemed to enjoy speaking aloud. At first he'd wondered if perhaps she knew he was there, but then as she continued it became apparent she was blissfully unaware of the stalking villain.
"Too strong for them, huh~?" His tender voice called to her from behind, so lazily it could have been an uttered lyric. The male sighed, gazing down at his suspiciously alert claws. And while it may have seemed the dark figure was instigating a fight, he was ultimately disinterested in that sort of thing. A wary, though honest, smile was flashed the brutal female persona he'd watched claw away at the enemy. They certainly did have a similar dilemma, being too strong for the current spawn.
Reckless as ever, Unpleasant chuckled while he began his audacious approach.

Feral didn’t have much time to go on her merry way, a voice caught her attention and she spun around immediately, striking a battle ready pose. Just as in reality, she didn’t trust anyone. Besides, everyone in this game was a fake – no one was their real self, not even her – this guy could very well be a classmate of hers. Not that her classmates would recognize her in the game. “What do you want antler boy?” She flashed her sharp teeth at him, mocking his choice of headwear. As he moved forward she would adjust her feet just in case he was a higher rank than her; she didn’t have an interest in fighting a PK asshole.

A-antler boy?! The male tried to conceal his laughter by drawing his head down, smile curled awkwardly to repress his inaudible giggles. He came close enough now to draw her information, character stilled while he read the appropriate username. "Feral, huh?" Absent hues blinked, his face pleased that they were the same rank. Oh, but now this was a problem--just as he had suspected, the snowy-maned lioness was a hero. And he a villain. Unpleasant tutted, unwittingly swiping his character's hand when he'd meant to only dismiss her information. Lips pursed, though his smile failed to falter, "Wanna duel?" He asked kindly, drawing out his weapon-of-choice: the keyblade, Skull Noise, a cute little thing--he thought--with a kitty hanging from the small chain.
While he awaited her reply, the male took the feline charm into his palm, unable to resist bringing it closer to his charming expression to admire the handsome thing. The added detail put into this world never failed to impress him.

Had she made him angry or was he laughing? Feral couldn’t really tell as he shaded his face, tilting his head downward and smiling – almost ominously. The girl scoffed at him. What a weirdo. She decided she might as well check his stats, shifting her stance from battle ready to slightly more relaxed she did the same as him. “Unpleasant, yeah, it suits you.” And a villain, not that she was surprised. She wondered if he still fought Heartless or if he was on their team. She wet her digital lips; if they were the same rank they’d be evenly matched.
When he drew his weapon she stepped back, surprised. “A Keyblade?” It must have been written on her face because he was acting really smug. This pissed her off, how dare he look down on her! “More like teach you a lesson, villain. Game on.”

Poor, misunderstood guy. Her initial comment, from what he supposed was her looking over his stats as well, was disregarded. Really, the name he gave himself couldn't be further from the truth though when he made the villain he really tried to seem villainous. And the male had to guessed he tried well enough. The way she stepped back like she'd never seen a keyblade before was endearing, actually everything about her was just darling. "Alright..." Unpleasant agreed, taking his sweet time navigating the menu to offer up the challenge.
He drew into a stance quite lazily, as he knew there would be a countdown beforehand anyway so why not? "You know, you're pretty cute." He'd plainly admit, maneuvering backward once the countdown finalized as he felt this feral little creature would probably live up to her name and try to strike first.

“C-cute?” No one called her that, she blushed behind her computer screen – the sensors from the virtual reality ware picked up her change of mood and it was reflected on Feral, who was more than taken by surprise. She shook her head and took her stance. “You’re just trying to fluster me,” calling her cute was just some tact so that she’d be distracted. Still, it never happened in reality, most people called her freak, weirdo, witch… or other more vulgar words.
Numbers flashed in her face, 3, counting down, 2, the start, 1, of their fight. 0. She shot forward, carried by her strong legs, a wild look in her eyes as she lashed out with the long steel claws on her left hand, swiping at whatever she might be able to reach. “I’ll show you, old man!”

Of course, he wasn't quite surprised as he was by her ferocity. For a hero, this girl was terribly bloodthirsty. "Old man?" Unpleasant hadn't a clue in what realm he could be considered an older guy. She vaguely reminded him of a middle-schooler, to whom everyone would probably seem old. Anyway, there was only one way he cared to defend himself and that was by drawing up his keyblade. He continued backward until the wall prompted him the ability to dive to the latter. Of course, he'd take this opportunity. This opponent was too vicious to take head-on, so maybe he could run her around long enough before--oops, ouch.
One of those nasty little talons cut his arm. Unpleasant grimaced, instinctively touching the digital wound. "Fire," he uttered, throwing a blast at her while taking the initiative to charge in her direction--whether she dodged or not, he planned to follow her movements, keyblade drawn back and ready to slice.

CLANG, her claws met his blade harshly, sliding along until they broke apart, she dove forward again keeping up her relentless attacking. The only problem with her fighting is that it actually left her pretty wide open, one of the reasons why she picked the defender class despite fighting like a warrior, the defense made up for her lack of blocking. Close combat was really good for her anyway; he didn’t have time to strike with his key if she was so close. He’d never get enough power. “Gotcha!” Her golden eyes glinted excitedly. For a hero, she really did seem fight hungry. Maybe it was just because she was so over excitable.
She wondered if he still thought she was cute now that she’d made the first contact. “AH!” A curdling shriek as she was blasted backwards, off her feet even, with a burning sensation lapping over her stomach. She got up, scorched with barely any time to raise her claws to block a key to the face. “Damn…” She strained under the weight of him pushing downward, her claws crossed to stop the blade from sliding downward.
Shifting so her feet could be underneath her, Feral used her legs to push him back and pulled her claws apart to propel him away from her. “Ugh…” The fire had really hurt. She shook it off though, he wanted to play with magic, and she’d give him some payback. She took a sharp breath and began to close distance again, feigning an attack toward his legs. “Taste ice! Blizzard!” She tossed her palms toward his face as a flurry of freezing cold would shoot forward.

Sure, Unpleasant had been excited to fight someone. His opinion was wavering, though, when he saw that although her attack took a happy amount of his HP--his fire spell seemed only a prick by comparison. Especially when that shriek had knocked off his guard--the poor thing, he didn't mean to hurt her too bad. The man was easy for her to force back, doing so in a stagger to escape those menacing claws of hers. That attack at his legs was probably her best decision--although it was only a game, Yoneda was especially focused on his legs at any given time. When she seemed to target them, he was very quick to dodge albeit prematurely.
The brunette turned his head to watch the icy cold fury pass him. He exhaled, relieved for that bit of luck allowed him. Some HP was taken off, though, so perhaps he wasn't that lucky. Once again, the boy grimaced. "Irritating..." Were the words he muttered before bounding toward her--there had to be a way to use the reach of those damn claws against her. Actually, there were a few strategies that crossed his mind, but he really didn't want to stoop to such lows. He'd feel bad, as if hitting her with the fire hadn't made him feel bad enough. That shriek, for some reason, just stuck to him. Resolution manifested upon noticing he only a smidgen of health remained.
Brows furrowed, the man jolted backward just as soon as he had bounded, glad to find his fire spell was finally ready again. He went backward, taking a moment to pause in hopes she'd--as she'd previously done, being on the offensive and all--move quickly to take this chance to knock him out. And once close enough, Yoneda was prepared to cast Fire again and tumble the fuck outta the way.

Clever as she’d been, and satisfied at the fact her magic casting had done any damage at all; Feral was cockier than strategic. She was now overly confident in her attacks, sure that she was going to win; it meant her guard was lowered. She had maybe a sliver more than half her hit points while he just needed one good swipe and he’d be done for. “You can give up now if you want,” she taunted, “your villainy is outmatched even with a Keyblade!”
She was really hamming it up now, playing on the hero against the villain. She gave a good natured smile, actually enjoying herself in the midst of battle – even if this person was rather loathsome, he was kind of fun too. And it’s not like villains were really evil in reality, maybe he was a nice guy… or girl… some players were the opposite gender.
He moved back and paused, was he an idiot? She gladly took the bait, dashing forward as fast as she could, playing right into his hands…

Oh, God. She was getting so cocky over such a petty battle--what would have been adorable otherwise, Unpleasant found he had little to no humor over the matter. He was one strike away, and as it seemed so she was, too. This could go either way. The male reaffirmed himself, chest aflutter as she came faster than he had anticipated. "Fire!" The fireball shot from the keyblade, whistling directly at the oncoming female. Bam. Unpleasant stood back in mild disbelief, unsure if he'd hit her or not despite his certainty and aim--if she knew how, she could just as easily dodge as he had earlier.
"What?" The man's final words before dramatically dropping onto his knees, eyes glaring down unfocused on the claws penetrating into his chest. It had to be one hit-point. Just one left that he couldn't snuff out, and here he had been too careless to follow-up the attack for this very reason. Deeply annoyed, he groaned. Yoneda was beyond upset but, he supposed it couldn't be helped. As the flashing 'loser' text disintegrated, and the field returned to normal, he lifted from his knees lethargically to congratulate the girl.
"Nice game." The brunette commented begrudgingly.

Everything happened really quickly then. The blaze washed over her, fireball connecting and slowing her, but not quite able to throw her backwards as it had before when she’d been stationary. She stumbled through it, feeling the heat and pain, she felt exhausted, she could see her health and magic meter on the side, the cartoon version of her character hanging its head – but something else was happening. Winner flashed across her screen, she was confused, and she should have lost. How had she managed to win? “What?” Her avatar stammered, realizing the placement of her right hand through her opponent.
She breathed out as their characters reset themselves after the battle. Health slowly filled up and she moved from breathing heavily to standing upright again – and no burn marks. She rubbed her shoulder where the phantom pain still existed and stood in surprised silence for a long time before a smile broke across her face. “That was awesome! I haven’t ever fought with another player before! Oh man when you blasted me that first time!” It was like she’d forgotten any animosity that had existed, instead her golden eyes sparkled with glee.

Likewise, Unpleasant glared at the ground while his claw-like digits rested on his chest. He had expected her to just walk away with her victory, but instead she remained and her enthusiasm was infectious. A grin crept onto his face, leaning into a gentle chuckle. "I was so worried I'd really hurt you--did it really burn?" The brunette stepped closer to her, hoping all her previous brutality was over with the battle. After all, he had absolutely no ill-will toward her other than feeling cheated out of his victory--but then, really, Yoneda knew he'd been careless. "You're actually pretty scary, you know that?" The boy chuckled earnestly, scratching the side of his head just above his ear while he did.

“Well yeah it burned, it was fire!” Feral looked up at the male, the two were so startlingly different. His color choices had all been very dark while hers were light, light hair, light eyes, light clothes, and very fair skin. He still had fair skin, but his hair and clothing was ink black. He almost looked like he could be a heartless. She smiled smugly to his comment. “Of course I’m scary! I’m Feral the fighter!” She puffed out her chest proudly, her left hand indicating herself. “You’re not scary at all. Why’d you pick to be a villain you seem to nice for that.”
